📄 File Format

What types of files can you upload?

We accept most common image formats, but some work better than others for die-cut stickers:

  • PNG - Best choice! Supports transparent backgrounds for perfect die-cuts
  • PDF - Great for vector artwork from Illustrator
  • JPG/JPEG - Works for photos (no transparency)
  • AI / PSD / SVG - Professional formats welcome
💡 Pro Tip: PNG with a transparent background is the way to go for die-cut stickers. The transparent areas define where we cut!

🔍 Resolution

How sharp will your stickers look?

Resolution is measured in DPI (dots per inch). Higher DPI = sharper prints.

  • 300 DPI or higher - Crisp, professional quality (recommended)
  • 150-299 DPI - Acceptable, may show slight softness
  • Below 150 DPI - Will appear pixelated or blurry
⚠️ Heads up: We'll warn you if your image resolution is too low. You can still print, but the results may not look as sharp as you'd like.

🎨 Transparent Backgrounds

The secret to perfect die-cut stickers

For die-cut stickers, your design gets cut to its exact shape. Here's how transparency works:

  • Transparent areas = where the sticker gets cut away
  • Solid/colored areas = what becomes your sticker
  • Remove any white backgrounds you don't want printed
  • Clean up stray pixels - anything visible will print!
💡 Don't have a transparent background? No worries - upload your design and use our free background remover tool!

✂️ Bleed & Safe Zone

Keep important elements from getting cut off

When stickers are cut, there can be tiny variations. To account for this:

  • Bleed (1/8" / 0.125") - Extend backgrounds past the cut line
  • Safe Zone (1/16") - Keep text and important elements inside this margin

This ensures your sticker looks perfect even with slight cutting variations.

💡 Simple rule: Don't put important text or details right at the edge. Give them a little breathing room!

🎨 Color Mode

Getting your colors right

Digital screens (RGB) and printers (CMYK) show colors differently.

  • CMYK - Recommended for most accurate print colors
  • RGB - We'll convert it, but some bright colors may shift slightly
  • Neon/super-bright colors may appear slightly less vivid when printed
💡 Note: Most phone photos and web images are RGB - that's totally fine! Just know super-bright colors might look slightly different in print.

Clean Artwork

Polish your design for best results

Before uploading, take a moment to review your artwork:

  • Remove stray pixels or artifacts around your design
  • Check for unwanted white edges or halos
  • Make sure text is readable at your chosen sticker size
  • Verify colors look the way you want them
